Toothaches happen when you feel pain within or somewhere around your tooth. There are so many factors why you experience toothaches; it includes abscessed tooth or when your tooth has an infection between the teeth and gum, the pain that you may experience when you have abscessed tooth can be really extreme.

Tooth decay is another major cause of toothaches, together with fractured tooth, damaged filling, grinding tooth and infected gums. You will know if you have toothaches if you feel a pain around your teeth or gum especially if you put mild pressure on the surface of the affected tooth. The inflammation of the gums around the tooth is another sign of a toothache together with fever, headache, and the presence of a disgusting discharge that comes from the contaminated tooth.

Having toothaches can be debilitating because of the pain that it causes; it does not only affect the tooth, part of your eyes and head are also affected by the pain. When you experience this, the basic thing that will come to your mind is how to treat it or to make the pain go away. Well, actually there are so many remedies for toothaches that are available right now, may it be on the drug stores or in your own home. Home remedies for toothaches are particularly useful if the pain attacks you in the middle of the night or if the weather is not very good - situations that prevent you from going to the dentist’s clinic or drug stores.

One of the simplest things to remedy your aching tooth is to gargle warm water with a bit of salt in it, and you can do this over and over again until the pain has gone or at least if the pain has subsided already. One of the most common remedies for toothaches is the use of a clove. You just have to place it directly inside the infected and affected tooth. Clove is one of the best remedies for toothaches because its oil is very useful and effective in terminating the bacteria and other germs that causes toothache. Just directly apply the clove inside the cavity and then wait for the pain to subside. Clove does not only kill the bacteria in your mouth that causes toothache, it can also cure your bad breath together with small amount of black pepper.

Garlic is also one of the remedies for toothaches that can be easily found in your home. Just like clove, you simply place a seed or two of garlic inside your tooth that is aching and keep it there until you feel comfortable. Garlic is also one of the best ingredients that kill the micro organisms that destroy the teeth. Mustard oil, onion, pepper, and lemon juice are just some of the remedies for toothaches that are extremely helpful in relieving that pain. Good thing about these home remedies for toothaches is that they are cheap, easily accessible and 100% pure and natural.

However, if the pain continues to pester you, it is best to see your dentist so he or she can check on it and see if there is something more than a toothache that is causing the pain.
